Webhooks
Retries
When and how many times we retry a failed webhook, and how to resend it manually.
Schedule
If your endpoint doesn't answer 2xx within 10 seconds, we retry with this delay:
| Attempt | When |
|---|---|
| 1 | When the event happens. |
| 2 | 1 minute after attempt 1. |
| 3 | 5 minutes later. |
| 4 | 30 minutes later. |
| 5 | 2 hours later. |
| 6 | 24 hours later. |
After the sixth attempt, the delivery is marked FAILED and isn't retried automatically.
Retry manually
- From the dashboard's delivery log you can retry a failed delivery.
- You can also resend a delivery that already succeeded.
- It arrives with
TuCapi-Attemptincremented, a new signature and the same eventid.
The TuCapi-Attempt header
TuCapi-Attempt tells you which attempt this is: 1, 2, …
Each attempt is signed again, so the signature is always within the 5-minute window, however late the retry is.
Note
Because of retries, two events for the same order can arrive in any order. Use
createdAt or check the current state through the API.
